Slowly, Iñigo Pascual, the son of Piolo Pascual is making a name in the local showbiz industry. Just like his father, inaasahang malayo rin ang mararating ng bagets in terms of his career and popularity. In fairness naman kay Iñigo, guwapo at talented din gaya ng kanyang ama kaya posibleng marating din niya ang kasikatan ng ama.
And right now, kasama rin siya sa pelikula nina Daniel Padilla at Kathryn Bernardo na ‘Crazy Beautiful You’ under Star Cinema at siguradong marami lalong hahanga sa kanyang kaguwapuhan at galing sa pag-arte kapag napanood ang movie.
Samantala, sa guesting ni Iñigo last Sunday sa programang ‘The Buzz’ ay naging vocal ang bagets na pag-usapan ang kanyang mother na si Donnabelle Lazaro. Dito ay ikinuwento niya kung gaano niya kamahal at kung gaano siya ka-open sa kanyang ina.
Naging emosyonal ang bagets nang alalahanin ang naging experience nila sa Amerika ng ina.
“She‘s always with me. Sa States po, I had a hard time making friends since I have different interests. There was a time when I got bullied because I have no friends and no one had the same interest at si mommy ‘yung naging best friend ko. I always talk to her about it,” kuwento pa ni Iñigo.
Tanong pa ng host na si Boy Abunda at Toni Gonzaga kung super close ba sila ng ina? “Opo, super. We’re very close and very open about a lot of things. I talk about everything to her.”
Sinabi pa ni Iñigo na every year ang ka-Valentine date niya ay ang kanyang mother. Isang sorpresa naman para kay Iñigo ang ipinadalang letter ng kanyang ina sa The Buzz na binasa ni Toni.
The letter went:
“Dear Iñigo, I’m always been proud of you since the day you were born. You’ve grown up to be a very fine young man and I’m grateful to God for the wonderful person that you have become. I’m very confident that with your values, you will make the soundest choice and decisions in your life and I’m happy that I will be a witness to your journey as life’s surprises unfolds before your eyes. Thank you for always being the sweet son who was never shy to shower his parents’ hugs and kisses even in front of his friends. I will never get tired of saying you are God’s greatest gift to me and your dad. Continue to put God at the center of your life and for sure everything will be fine. It means so much to have someone like you that’s why it’s a joy to wish you more love and happiness on Valentine’s Day. I will always love you Anak, my forever Valentine. Love, Mom.”
Sobrang na-touch si Iñigo sa letter ng ina at pinasalamatan ito at sinabi kung gaano niya ito kamahal.
Meanwhile, sa ibang interview ay naitanong naman kay Piolo Pascual kung pabor ba siyang hindi itinuloy ni Iñigo ang career nito sa Amerika bilang miyembro sana ng isang boyband? At subukan ang career dito sa showbiz instead?
“Because they’re asking for [a] minimum of three years, e. Matagal, e. Tapos exclusive siya. So, we got an endorsement here, there’s some work here to do, so there’s conflict of interest. We just chose [for him] to be here because we wanna travel together. ’Pag itinali mo siya ng three years, we won’t be able to spend time together. I think that’s one of the considerations ng anak ko and, at the same time, maganda ang mga offers dito. We tried to weigh things, parang kung meron naman…
“He knows about it, nakausap niya yung dapat na magiging manager niya doon. “They still wanna push for him, should he try Hollywood, should he try do a recording career in the States, tutulungan pa rin daw siya. Pero more than anything, gusto pa rin ng bata dito,” paliwanag ng Kapamilya heartthrob na si Piolo.
