Philippine Showbiz Republic had the chance to talk to Jessy Mendiola regarding her much- talked-about exit from “Banana Sundae.”

According to rumors, she was axed from the Sunday gag show because of her alleged attitude problems.

Reports had it that she had a squabble with a wardrobe assistant who forced her to wear a provocative outfit that she does not want.

Straight from the horse’s mouth, she sheds light on the said issue in our one to one interview.

“Noong time na iyon, medyo parang hindi kami nagkaintindihan. May misunderstanding pero siyempre, ako naman po I also respect that.

“Noong time na iyon, na-offend ako sa kasama ko pero hindi naman po ito artista. Noong time na iyon, para sa kanya, normal lang iyon. He wasn’t actually aware of that. It was kind of wrong for other people, it was kind of wrong for me. I don’t know if I have become too oversensitive or para more of, hindi niya napansin o hindi lang siya naging sensitive,” she opened up.

According to Jessy, the misunderstanding now is all water under the bridge.

“Actually, napag-usapan na namin. Nag-apologize na siya. Tinanggap ko iyong apology. Para lang, I want to focus on my career. I’ve been doing sexy din kasi for several years na,” she averred.

She also cleared up the air that she had no ill feelings against anyone.

For her, she will be grateful for being given the opportunity to work with the creative people of “Banana Sundae.”

“Sobrang malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa kanila. Kasi, ang dami kong natutunan sa timing, sa adlib, sa comedy. Sobrang nag-enjoy ako sa show at family ko na talaga sila, at the same time, I wanna move on rin naman to do other things,” she pointed out.

Aside from having a rosy lovelife, Jessy has all the reasons to be happy because her movie “Salvage” is one of the entries to be shown in the first Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.

“Ito kasi iyong unang indie film at unang thriller,” she said.

In the movie, she plays a journalist in search of clues in a series of killings initially believed to be caused by supernatural attacks.

She admitted that she got scared while shooting some of their scenes in a remote location.

“Hindi siya experience, it’s more of feelings, kasi mahirap talaga siya. Noong ginagawa namin siya, parang totoo siyang nangyayari sa amin kaya kinilabutan ako,” she quipped.

She confessed also that during the shoot, she had the feeling that she was being watched over by “elementos” (evil creatures) in the forest.

She said that she became ‘paranoid’ at one point.

“Before sleeping, naiisip ko siya. Feeling ko, nadala ko talaga siya. Nadala ko siya hanggang Maynila. Nabati ako, actually. Napansin naming nagkakasakit ako for one week while shooting. Tapos, I had the same dream over and over again that kept recurring on my mind.

May nakikita akong isang lalakeng pulang-pula ang mga mata. Nagpatawag kami ng albularyo. Sabi nila, sumama raw sa akin iyong elemento. Nagpatawas talaga ako, dahil naniniwala ako roon, so ganoon siya kalala. After noon, nawala na siya,” she disclosed.

Salvage, a production of Cinemaone Originals and Salida Productions, also stars JC de Vera, Karl Medina, Joel Saracho, Barbie Capacio and a lot more.
