Joey Albert diagnosed with cancer anew

There’s a saying that the third time is a charm. However, this doesn’t hold true if it’s a third diagnosis of cancer. Despite the new challenge, singer Joey Albert still charms her family and her supporters with a positive outlook that she will win once again.
After being ruled out of cancer the second time around, she was once again informed that the battle is not yet over. In short, her cancer has regressed. But though she has all the reasons to be sad, the “Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin” singer remains upbeat for her latest round of treatment. She asks for prayers from everyone that just like before, she will emerge victorious.
Likewise, she would like to find purpose in her journey by sharing her incredible story to those who are seeking for inspiration. She believes that her life story is proof that insurmountable odds can be beaten. Aside from the song mentioned above, Albert is also known for the songs “Points Of View,”“Yakapin Mo Ako,”“A Million Miles Away” and “Tell Me.”
Born Maria Josefina Albert, she began her singing career in 1982 after winning the Dream Girl Filipina contest in Ariel Ureta’s “The Party.” She was also part of the famed New Minstrels band. Throughout her career, she recorded 15 extended play albums which gave birth to a number of greatest hits compilations and a videoke collection.
