‘Katok,’ horror movie you can watch at home this Halloween
“Ang challenge is, kung paano mo mapasisigaw ang audience,” said director Joven Tan during AQPrime’s presscon for horror movie “Katok.” Known for his films “Suarez,” “Ayuda Babes,” and “Yorme,” Joven directed Ara Mina for the first time.
In an interview, Tan told the media “Katok” follows Ara’s character, Romina, as she enters an old house said to be inhabited by wandering spirits. Her job as caretaker of Soliman Cruz’s Mang Delfin leads her to discover the spine-chilling mysteries about the place. Can Romina keep her sanity when supernatural entities come knocking at her door?

Joyce Javier and Yñigo Delen are also part of the cast. Both newbie artists praised and thanked Tan for guiding them.
ARA’S LOVE FOR HORROR MOVIES

He likes it. He likes my character here in Katok,” said Ara.
She added, “I did horror movies na before na nagbigay sa akin ng awards. I love horror films.
