Lea Salonga-Aga Muhlach movie will not push through this year

It may take a little while for the fans of Broadway star and ‘The Voice Kids’ coach Lea Salonga to see their idol with favorite leading man Aga Muhlach as their proposed film will not push through this year as originally planned.
Salonga said in an interview that she will be very busy in the remaining months of 2015 and although she had long wanted to do another film with Muhlach, it just won’t be feasible. “I have ‘The Voice’ and then I have another Broadway show. As in the day after the grand finals, I leave for New York. ‘The Voice Kids’ finals will be on August 29 and August 30. By August 31, I’m on a plane out. So sorry but the movie has to wait for next year,” she said.
Salonga will be doing the musical “Allegiance” with Japanese-American actor George Takei, which is scheduled to start previews October 6 at the Longacre Theater in New York prior to its official opening on November 8.
“I know people are clamoring for it,” she said of the movie with Muhlach. “But in the meantime, I’ll say that the last movie we did together, ‘Sana Maulit Muli’ has been digitally remastered.”
She said she only wants to be paired with Aga because she is already comfortable working with the actor. “It’s been two decades since our last project together but our friendship and chemistry remain strong even up to this day. Before I was just waiting Aga to lose weight, so far, he’s able to shed a few pounds. But I’m fullybooked for the entire 2015,” says Lea. Salonga hopes that her movie with Muhlach will one day be able to push through.
Muhlach and Salonga starred in Octor Arts Films’ production in the 1992 for “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal” and Star Cinema’s “Sana Maulit Muli” in 1995. Both films were box office hits.
