apl copy Providing comic relief and laughter to the ‘The Voice of the Philippines’ is coach Apl.de.ap. Surely his natural antics and his witty pick-up lines enliven TV audience’s Saturday and Sunday viewing habit.

Allan Pineda Lindo in real life, Apl.de.ap, is a Filipino-American rapper, record producer, and occasional drummer who is best known as a member of the Grammy Award-winning group The Black Eyed Peas. Thanks to ‘The Voice’ as he has become a household item, an evening TV viewing delight.

Today, his fellow Filipinos especially his cabalens in Pampanga would get much of the world-class artist as he brings not only the goodness of the country’s number one food chain but also by providing employment in this side of the country.

Yes, Apl has joined the number food chain family not as endorser but as franchise owner!

He has finally stepped into the stage of business ownership in the Philippines by opening his very first franchise in Dau, Pampanga which had a grand opening on February 6, attended by select media including the Philippine Showbiz Republic (PSR) and online bloggers from Manila to share his joy and join the fun.

Apl said he has always loved the food brand. He recalled passing by at the store with his mom on his younger years. “Back then, I would often ask my Mom if we could buy something to eat in the said restaurant. She would always answer me with, “Sa susunod na lang, anak.”

Apl said it was pure bliss when he finally dined in there. “It felt like I was in food heaven! So now that I’m blessed, I aim for employment among my fellow cabalens (the locals). I’ve decided to open my own franchise store to bring joy to everyone in Pampanga.”

Apl.de.Ap confessed he loves spicy chicken variant and the famous palabok the most. His own franchise is the 33rd outlet in the region of Pampanga. To date the leading fast food chain has over 850 outlets nationwide.

Apl have only good words for ‘The Voice’, he said: “Discovering the artists, the passion and their stories and of course, the show is fun. I love my co-coaches. We have fun up there. And it is shining a light for our kababayans in our country because we need to be heard.”

“It is tiring but it’s okay. Kahit na puyat kami. What makes it worthwhile is the artist. ‘Yung mga contestant na nagjo-join. Amazing life stories. It’s not easy to make it there. It’s very touching and that’s what makes it worth it,” he added.
