‘Lodi Ng Bayan’ shines during pandemic
MEET Dondan Cuartz and Rafael Roco Dinglasan, Jr. — they call themselves Lodi Ng Bayan.
Na-meet namin ang kalog na duo sa presscon ng pelikulang ‘El Genio Dela Raza’ sa Mistah Bar na pag-aari ng kanilang manager na si Ms. Jeanette Marco.
The movie is directed by Dave Cecilio and will have an official streaming on Ticket2Me on June 19 and June 25, at 3:00 pm onwards.
Kasali sina Dondan and Rafael sa nabanggit na movie, first time nila bale into acting. As the name of their group suggests, which is Lodi Ng Bayan, sila po ay singers, at mahuhusay na singers!
Sa paliwanag nila, they are four in group but due to pandemic, nasa probinsya ang mga kagrupo nila and since sina Dondan at Rafael ang narito sa Manila, they get the opportunity like having this movie, ‘El Genio Dela Raza’ and yes, shows, too!
And as Lodi Ng Bayan, according to them, they already have recorded three songs — ‘Inday Ng Aking Buhay,’ ‘Samahan Mo Ako’ and ‘Pasiram-Siram.’
They sang ‘Inday Ng Aking Buhay’ in front of us and we liked it, also pinarinig nila sa amin thru their cellphone ang ‘Pasiram-Siram,’ a danceable music that comes from a Bicol word na ang ibig sabihin ay pasuray-suray. Bagay sa kanila ang mga kanta nila kasi’y mga kalog sila, komedyante ang dating.
Bukod sa mga nabanggit na awitin, inisa-isa rin nila sa amin ang mga song na nairekord nila as solo artists.

On Channel 31, Lodi Ng Bayan has a show every Wednesday, 12 to 2 pm, entitled ‘Ningas Pinas’ and Sunday, 6:00 to 8:00 pm na ang title ay simply ‘Lodi Ng Bayan.’
Also every Sunday, they will be watched on ‘Awitan At Tugtugan’ 3:00 to 5:00 pm at broadstream.
And what else? Lodi Ng Bayan will be part of the very big concert entitled ‘ Isang Tinig, Isang Lahi,’ a star-studded show with big names like Lea Salonga, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Manny Pacquiao, Apl de Ap, Moira, Jose Mari Chan, Maymay Entrata, Bamboo, Ian Veneracion, David Pomeranz, Pilita Corrales and Lodi Ng Bayan, to be hosted by Robi Domingo and Anthony Barion.
This will have a streaming schedule in the Philippines on June 26, 8:00 pm and June 27, 10:00 am.
And aside from these, Lodi Ng Bayan is set to star in a movie about the Ifugaos, the ‘Abunga’ which will be directed by Dave Cecilio.
