Maxine Medina finishes top 6; proves her grace at Miss Universe Coronation
PH’s bet Maxine Medina made it to Top 6, proved herself to all Filipinos at the 65th Miss Universe Coronation.
Medina might not have pulled off that dream of wearing the crown, but she proved that true Filipina is someone who stands straight in front of the people that keeps on bashing her.
When Miss Universe rolled up, Medina was one of the top picks for finals and advanced to the Top 6 competition.
She was asked by the pageant’s main host Steve Harvey what she thinks is the most significant change she’s seen in the world for the last ten years.
“I saw the people being in one event like this, in Ms. Universe. It’s something big to us that we are one as a nation, we are all together,” Medina answered.
Her answers were not enough for her to advance to Top 3 Competition but did her best in her own way, with all grace despite all the bashing she got.

Beauty Queen Miriam Quiambao tweeted that she was proud, thanking Medina for representing the country.
Personalities like Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Senator Grace Poe, Megan Young, LA Tenorio, Bianca Gonzalez, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, Senator Angara made time to greet and congratulate Medina.
Meanwhile, Gov. Chavit Singson shared that he’s willing again for the Philippines to host Miss Universe if he gets support from the government.
Department of Tourism Secretarty, Wanda Teo, said that it would be better if Maxine used Filipino.
After all, a true Filipina, Medina, proved that she got the confidence, grace, and heart. Filipinos are proud of you, Maxine! You did a great job! Congrats!
