Mich Liggayu moves forward with life via acting gig

Exactly two months after her longtime boyfriend, YouTube sensation Jam Sebastian passed away, Mich Liggayu, the other half of the YouTube act, Jamich had been subjected to a lot of controversies including the accusations hurled at her by none other than Jam’s own mother, Maricar Sebastian. Mrs. Sebastian said that Mich had kept all of the Jamich’s earnings to herself and she had also failed to return all Jam’s belongings after his death. Jam’s mom also insinuated that during the time her son Jam was still alive and was still battling with cancer, Mitch had been in a relationship with newcomer singer Neo Domingo. Neo has already denied the rumor.

Mich has opted to remain mum on these issues and focused mainly on being positive. “I’ve been hearing about the issues from concerned friends because I no longer had the time to read. I know that whatever I do, people already have pre-conceived notions about me,” told Mich during the press conference for ‘Wattpad Presents: How to Break Up with the Bad Boy,’” which features Mich as the lead star along with Vin Abrenica and Martin Escudero.

“I’m thankful to TV5 and Viva, which now manages my career for this project. This is the reason why I can still afford to smile,” she quipped.

Not counting the ‘Jam and Mich Love Story’ for the GMA drama series ‘Wagas,’ where she and Jam played themselves, the latest “Wattpad Presents” mini-series is the first time that Mich is acting on television. It is also her first high-profile project since Jam’s death.

In this popular Wattpad story written by Beeyotch, Mich plays Monique, a young woman who finds herself torn between Christian (Martin Escudero), her responsible boyfriend who hardly has time for her, and his brother Lourd (Vin Abrenica), whose bad boy ways she finds intriguing.

Mich says she’s still grieving and admits that it’s not easy for her to move forward as the intrigues keep piling up. One of the latest issues against her is that her noticeable weight gain, which she attributes to “stress eating.” “I’m an emotional eater,” reveals Mich. Her critics say she must be pregnant, which again she denied flatly.

“With regards to the Jamich account, it was hacked since the early part of March, so I no longer have access to that account. I’ve just made a new account,” she added.

Yes, Mich is active again in social media and she’s happy that many of those who supported Jamich when they were still starting to make their presence felt on YouTube are still there to support her.

“Before, I used to update everyone on my social media the entire day. Then, after Jam passed away, I kinda felt like shutting myself out from the rest of the world. When I came back, I’m happy that the fans are still there to support me,” she enthused.

Thanks to such followers, her friends and family members, especially her mom, Mich is slowly regaining her confidence and looks forward to this new phase in her life and career. She hopes to get more acting gigs, including another “Wattpad Presents” assignment in the near future.

And since she and Jam first made names for themselves with their series of short videos uploaded online, Mich vows to continue doing so.

“Unlike before when we were doing it just for fun, gusto ko pagdating sa dulo, may makukuhang lessons ang mga tao. Basta Team Positive lang,” she shared.

As for Mommy Maricar with whom she said she never had a problem with even during Jam’s last few months in the hospital, Mich said she hopes they could patch up their differences as well.
