‘Nelia’ lead star Winwyn reacts to MMFF announcement: Mixed emotions talaga, sobrang grateful
The thriller movie ‘Nelia’ starring Winwyn Marquez was announced as this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) official entry.
In a statement, Winwyn shared, “I was watching from FB Live nung announcement and kinakabahan ako kasi s’yempre ang mga unang movies na binanggit ay napakalaking mga artista at pinaghandaan na mga pelikula rin.
“Hindi ako masyado nag-expect pero I was hoping pa rin nung biglang binanggit ‘yung synopsis napa-record ako bigla kasi ‘di ako makapaniwala.”
The beauty queen added, “Mixed emotions talaga. Kabado, tuwa, takot, etc pero sobrang grateful na napili ang Nelia dahil alam ko buong cast and production binigay lahat nung ginagawa ang film. Tinawagan ko agad dad ko para balitaan siya.”
‘Nelia’ is produced by A & Q Production Films, Inc., owned by lawyers Aldwin Alegre and Melanie Quiño.
Scream and shout as ‘Nelia’ comes theaters this December as part of this year’s MMFF. The movie is written by Melanie Quiño and directed by Lester Dimaranan.
Raymond Bagatsing, Ali Forbes, Mon Confiado, Lloyd Samartino, Shido Roxas, Dexter Doria, Dan Alvaro, Sarah Javier, April Anne Dolot, Massey Shamsoddin, Red Atienza, Juan Carlos Galano, and Aldwin Alegre complete the cast.
