The multi-awarded director Arlyn Dela Cruz who breaks and challenges the wall of storytelling and film making introduced her new film entitled Immaculada, Pag-ibig ng isang Ina.

With her words and face expressing excitement, Dela Cruz named Ara Mina as her “Elenita.” Elenita is one of the main characters of the said film.

Veteran director loves creating story that challenges her audience. Dela Cruz was known for her works like Maratabat, Mandirigma and Tibak.

As written, Immaculada, Pag-ibig ng isang Ina tackles a sensitive reality that is screaming in silence. It is based on actual stories she covered as a journalist. One in Bulacan, Parañaque, and another in the province of Isabela, mostly involving families of OFW’s.

It is always a challenge for her as a director to show what’s reality in artistic and picturesque way. The film also requires its actors to go beyond and push their boundaries.

Dela Cruz shared that she is ready to roll the camera and promised to execute every scene in her most honest way.

She also said that she already conceptualized the film but just waiting for the right time. As said by the veteran director, it requires braveness as a director to push the film.

Her most honest, real sense persona brought her works to perfection. She is the kind of director that gives all, shows all.

Award-winning actress Elizabeth Oropesa is part of the film together with Kapamilya actor John Estrada, Akihiro Blanco, Simon Ibarra, Jeffrey Santos, Elijah Canlas, Kyrshee Grengia, Kaiser Boado, Martha Comia, Jun Nayra, Jemina Sy, Joyce Pilarsky, Althea Villanueva, Allison Pundavela, Franchine Rifols, Jelen Tan, Belle Dominguez, JR Velasco, Eric Borromeo, and John Robin.

Produced by Kapandesal Events & Productions, Inc. and Blank Pages Productions and written by veteran director herself Arlyn Dela Cruz.

The director ended that the film will challenge the way the audience view reality. Immaculada challenges us, “Is there a limit, an end to a mother’s love to his son?”
