Nick explains how he managed anxiety during the pandemic

Jul 1, 2021
“Managing anxiety was never easy. But I told myself repeatedly and programmed my brain that I can do it.”

Nick Vera Perez revealed in an interview how he really felt during the global lockdown and how music helped him get through the sadness.

“I was really sad. Alam mo ‘yun, may times na talagang malungkot ako. My mother pa was recovering from stroke. I remember, seeing her at the hospital, talagang nakakalungkot,” the Chicago-based singer shared.

“S’yempre hindi dapat tayo nagpapatalo sa lungkot. Thanks to Olive and my angels who supported and guided me from time to time while cheering my mom too.”

Nick’s a real fighter like his mom who fought to recover. Those sad times taught him to value life more and to be just present all the time.

“I began to appreciate the littlest details of everything. My jokes, my homes, my mom, my siblings, my pet, my garden, my car, my room, and my possessions I long ignore lang before.

“I began to appreciate how lucky I am to have all that I needed during the lockdown,” NVP told PSR.

He added prayer also helped him get through the sadness and emptiness. He prays for the world to heal and for him to create more music.

“This was a big part and still is sa mental conditioning that brought me back.”

“Without all the mental positivity, without any actions, they wouldn’t matter. I stood up and just turned off the sadness switch, and started moving again.”

Music and lyrics by Adonis Tabanda, NVP1.0 and a christmas album are coming out this August and December.

The talented singer ended, “The album contains Filipino and english songs mainly about love pero ang twist ng album, lahat ng genre nandun. This album is more attractive than the first one.”
