“Kami ni Ate, we’ve never had a rivalry talaga. Even in personal life level, not just work. Of course, we’ve had some misunderstandings before dahil sa lmimmaturity ko. But then, I think that’s pretty normal among siblings. But we’ve worked with each other. And we’re heading different paths. Si Ate Anne is more on the mainstream. I try to do the arts. Submerge in all the different types of crafts that area available to me, like now I’m doing theatre for the first time and it’s something Ate has not even tried before,” bungad sa amin ni Jasmine.

“We don’t try to overshadow one another. We really do support each other. So there’s no such thing as sibling rivalry between me and my sister. We’re two different personalities. She’s more like the beauty queen thing while I’m more into the arts. I’d rather be away from the spotlight and she’s more in there,” pakli naman ni Lauren.

“There’s always a new story to tell her. And although we don’t live together, there’s always the communication between us. Masaya naman si Ate na I’m on my own na because I’ve become more independent because of that. But it will never change the fact that I’m her baby sister and she will always be protective of me,” kuwento ni Jasmine.

“Yes I live with her now so I get to see her every single day. I’m doing a show with her and it’s going to be our first time to work together. It’s going to test us if we really don’t get into each other’s nerves,” sabay ngiti ni Lauren. “But at the end of the day, you know, I enjoy having her because I love her so much. We would sometimes have a little misunderstanding, it really annoys us. But not to the point na we’re going to try and ruin each other. So yeah, there’s no sibling rivalry,” pagdidiin muli ni Lauren.

Ito ay ang monologue series na “No Filter: Let’s Talk About Me” which will have its run from July 25 to August 2, 2015 at the RCBC Theater in Makati City. Kabituin nila dito sina

Mikael Daez, Cai Cortez, Saab Magalona-Bacarro, Sarah Facuri, Khalil Kaimo, and Micah Munoz. This will be directed by Toff de Venecia.

“So I have a lot of trust in him. And I know he wouldn’t get me to try to do something he didn’t believe that I could do it as well. So along with that, I’m turning 21 this year. So I promised to myself that I’ll take on new disciplines and learn new things. And… even if it scared the living shoot out of me, I’ll involve myself. And try to at least learn what’s the good thing about it,” paliwanag ni Jasmine.

“The most challenging for me… memorizing (all the monologues), and the units or all the emotions that you meant to be associating with the text. Plus the fact that it’s only take one. On the day itself, it’s all you have. So if you mess up, ikaw lang din ang sasalo sa sarili mo. But the good thing about it is that… you guys don’t know the text!,”tawa pa ni Jasmine.

I don’t like to limit myself with just TV.
“Like I tried doing indies and mainstream films, short films. And it’s just kind of hard work that you crave for. Because you know at the end of it, parang you can be like… ‘yeah I was part of that.’ Parang it’s all worth it. So it’s just another way for me to express myself as an artist. It’s a new learning experience as well. I just don’t say no to challenges and this is gonna be one heck of a challenge. But… yeah, I’m ready for it,” sabi ni Lauren.

Bakit kailangang panoorin ang “No Filter: Let’s Talk About Me” monologue series nila?

“You should watch it of course not only because of its incredible cast but also because I believe it’s such a great material. The topics are very relatable, hugot na hugot. It’s also a great way for the other generations to understand us and why we are the way we are. Other generations would often say, ‘Alam mo ba dati nung panahon naming, ganyan.’ Now, allow us to tell you why our generations act this way,” paliwanag ni Jasmine.

“I think people should watch our show because it’s about millenials. We all like hearing stuff and I’m pretty sure a lot of people will be able to relate with it,” dagdag naman ni Lauren. “When you think about it, it’s nice to watch and listen to things that you can understand and you can relate to. And this is what the show “No Filter” is all about. It’s about the connection between all millennials.”

Catch “No Filter: Let’s Talk About Me” from July 25 to August 2, 2015 at the RCBC Theater in Makati City.
