NOW SHOWING: Ang Misyon pays tribute to Marawi victims, heroes

May 30, 2018

Last year, May 23, the government forced to stand against the members of the rebel group Maute in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

Reports said that the group have taken over the Amai Pakpak Medical Center, wavering black flag representing Islamic State (ISIS).

Now, as we remember the first year anniversary of war and attack in Marawi, director/writer/producer Ceasar Soriano brings you the real, untold story of Marawi attack, victims, and heroes through “Ang Misyon: A Marawi Siege Story.”

Ceasar Soriano was former ABS-CBN’s Mindanao News Bureau Chief and now INQUIRER RADIO AND TELEVISION’s prime time news anchor and host and producer of his three public affairs program talk shows.

Soriano, a Mindanaoan himself, shares he was a kidnap victim of the terrorists.

Why direct a film, Ang Misyon?

“So Filipinos would know and understand why the Marawi attack happened.

“Ang Misyon is a film based on a true story of a registered nurse who helped the terrorists in Marawi.

“A timely film. Ang Misyon delves into the roots of terrorism in Mindanao and other details of the conflict that were never told in the media,” Soriano says.

As a tribute to the heroes and victims of Marawi and in commemoration of the Marawi siege’s first year anniversary, GREAT CZAR MEDIA PRODUCTIONS invites you to watch Ang Misyon: A Marawi Siege Story, May 30 in all cinemas nationwide.
