Among 85 gorgeous, hopeful candidates from all over the universe, Medina managed to stand out in their swimsuit and evening gown competition.
The 26-year old Filipina beauty set the fire on stage as she flaunted her perfect body with her bikini.
She slayed a Rhett Eala creation, an emerald green gown that made her more regal.
Medina walked with a natural grace, a real model on stage, and shined all throughout.
Earlier, she impressed the fans with her avant-garde-high fashion national costume that added to her queenly look.
Medina was one of the favorites. Beauty pageant experts believed that Medina has a chance to win the crown.
Miss Colombia, Miss Brazil, Miss Venezuela, Miss Thailand, and Miss Indonesia were also caught the attention of the audience.
The Preliminary Competition was hosted by Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and actor Derek Ramsay.
Judges were Riyo Mori, Rob Goldstone, Francine Lefrak, Cynthia Bailey, Fred Nelson and 1993 Miss Universe Dayanara Torres.
The 65th Miss Universe Coronation Night will be held on Monday, January 30, at the MOA Arena. Steve Harvey will host again the competition and Ashley Graham will take the role as co-host.
