Pinoy pride Sofronio Vasquez thanks Vice Ganda
Tawag ng Tanghalan alum Sofronio Vasquez thanked Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda for motivating him to dream.
During an appearance on the noontime show on November 29, the Filipino singer explained how the comedian-host is usually so encouraging of emerging musicians.
Sofronio credited Vice for inspiring him to aspire even larger. He advanced to the semifinals of Tawag ng Tanghalan a few years ago.
“Thank you for inspiring me to dream kasi kahit nung lumalaban pa kami, she’s trying to make sure na lahat ng mga contestants or lahat ng mga talent na dadaan sa Tawag ng Tanghalan stage ay napapansin. Binibigyan niya talaga ng highlight. Ako, inspired talaga ako sa kanya so thank you ate,” he shared.
Sofronio began his career by auditioning for several singing competitions across the country before landing on The Voice USA.
He took part in The Voice Philippines’ blind auditions several years ago but was unable to convince any coaches to move their chairs in his favor.
This time, all four The Voice USA coaches turned their chairs in hopes of getting him on their team. The Tawag ng Tanghalan alum confessed that it was still a dream for him because he had no expectations.
