by Leony R. Garcia21It’s a sad Saturday for showbiz world with the news of some personalities passing away. In his Facebook account, former PMPC president Roldan Castro tagged along all Philippine Movie Press Club officers and members with this message:

“Isang malungkot na umaga. Pumanaw na ang isa sa officer ng PMPC at aming kaibigang William Reyes (09156455597). Nagpa-ice cream pa si William last Friday (April 11) sa General Meeting ng PMPC dahil kaarawan niya…Sad talaga..Condolence sa kanyang mga naulila. Inaalam pa namin ang detalye kung saan ibuburol.”

Reyes is the club’s PRO for two years now. He was reportedly found dead Friday night by his sister and family members at his home in Taguig.
Before his ice cream party with the PMPC, Reyes was feted by several friends, among them, Gardo Versoza and partner. He also joined some media friends and the country’s superstar, Nora Aunor, in a long trip to Bicol, when Ate Guy received her ONRA awards from her kababayans.

As of this writing, there are no details yet on the cause of Reyes’s death and about his wake.

In the same note, actress-scriptwriter Bibeth Orteza on Saturday morning posted on her Facebook page, “Rest in peace, Ricardo Reyes, aka Ritchie D’Horsie. Godspeed.”

Orteza said the actor had been “in and out of the hospital.” She said the last time they saw each other, he was already on a wheelchair, waiting for Vic Sotto at the studio of Eat Bulaga.

Reyes was among the cast of popular comedy show “Iskul Bukol.” He also starred in several films.

D’Horsie reportedly passed away on Friday evening. He was 58 years old.

His niece April Alcober told news media that he died at around 9:24 p.m. on Friday in his residence.
Alcober said the comedian was diabetic and had been having a hard time breathing during the past several days.
She said the family attribute the death to multiple organ failure.
His wake will be held at Loyola Marikina.

To our dearly departed, may you rest in peace… Our condolences to their loved ones.
