PRESS RELEASE: NEW PPO MUSIC DIRECTOR

Yoshikazu Fukumura, the new music director of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, said he aims to make the PPO one of the top five orchestras in Asia. He praised the PPO for possessing a higher quality and level than many orchestras in Asia. Fukumura was introduced to the media in a press conference on July 6 at the Hotel Jen. Fukumura began his term in May 2016 and will conduct his first concert as PPO Music Director in September when the PPO opens its 2016-2017 season. (Photo by Orly Daquipil)
