RS Francisco shows grace, power in ‘M Butterfly’
Confirmed! Very successful at talagang pinag-uusapan ang Tony Award-winning play “M BUTTERFLY” na nag start noong September 12 (Press Night) at September 13 (Gala Night), September 14 at 15 na parehong tig dalawang shows at hanggang September 30 pa ito mapapanood sa Maybank Performing Arts Theater, BGC Arts Center, Bonifacio Global City.
True, angat talaga ang said play kung ikukumpara sa mga napanood naming mga play. “Fabulous” ika nga ng katabi namin nung nanood kami.
Aba, M. Butterfly, the Tony Award winner for best play written by David Hwang. And presented by Tony and Grammy award winning producer Jhett Tolentino and FRONTROW Entertainment.
M. Butterfly is directed by Kanakan Balintagos.
Hindi matatawaran ang naging performance ni RS Francisco bilang si Song Liling, a Chinese opera singer. Graceful at powerful si RS habang pinapanood namin.
Kahit na natagalang ibalik ang M. Butterfly, dahil nga 28 years nating hinintay ay masasabing sobrang sulit na sulit.

Isang pang nagpa bongga sa big event na ‘yon ay ang the Chrysalis photo exhibit na nag start last September 12- 30 na may starting bid of 50k.
7 prominent names in photography: Jun de Leon, Raymund Isaac Manny Librodo, Mandy Navasero, BJ Pascual, Wig Tysmans and Patrick Uy. At ang 100 % proceeds nito will go to charity.
At ito pa, this- re staging of M. Butterfly will be 100% non profit. Net proceeds from each performance will be dedicated to one particular charitable institution or organization geared toward education and the arts.
At nakita na nga namin ang dalawang beneficiaries na nakatanggap. Ang dulaang UP at ang Philippine Stagers Foundation (PSF).
