ryan_agoncillo 2We see him every day as one of the dabarkads who make our lunch time fun and light through the longest-running daytime variety show, ‘Eat Bulaga.’ Then we also see him at night on Sundays living out comical situations as a family man on ‘Ismol Family.’ Then, on sports events such as motorcycle and car racing, mountain biking and triathlon, he is also there.

Indeed, Ryan Agoncillo has come a long way, since the time he joined show business as TV host for GMA 7. Now we will see more of him as he is the newest addition to a brand of mobile service provider as the ambassador for its latest offering.

“We chose Ryan because—and a lot of you know him well—he is very real, he embodies the personality of the brand,” said Joel Lumanlan, Vice President for Postpaid Marketing of the mobile service provider.

He also expressed joy of expanding their endorsers with another practical and real brand ambassador like Ryan whose wife had also been part of the roster of endorsers.

Ryan-Agoncillo“I think Ryan joining our bandwagon of practical Pinoys is good proof that we’ve been successful in communicating our position in the market—which is to offer, always, the better value services,” Joel added.

As Ryan has proven his flexibility given his hectic schedule as host, actor, triathlete and family man, he has also shown his capacity to make practical choices when his private life and his family is concerned.

And just as the brand’s family is growing, Ryan announced that his family will also be growing soon as well as he and his wife are expecting a new daughter they will be naming Luna.

“We have a third one coming along,” he said. “Si Luna—sabi nga nila, the third kid is the game-changer in family dynamics. Mas kailangan ko mag-isip ng mabuti at maging praktikal sa mga bagay bagay.”

Ryan explained how The mobile’s newest plan snuggly finds its niche in his family’s day to day activities while conveniently providing them more for what they pay. “Their plan fits right into how we wanna live our lives. Kasi ayaw rin naman natin mabitin but we also have to be wise about our choices, meaning if I can get away with getting more bang for my buck, I will always go for that choice.”

As for fellow dabarkads Alden Richards’ success, Ryan has short but sweet message: “Good things happen to good people, buddy!”
He is also thankful for EB’s kalyeserye success not just in the TV ratings game but more so as a way of teaching the youth the Filipino traditional way of respecting women.

Ryan posted a photo of her and daughter Yohan on the set of the noontime show when Lola Nidora and Yaya Dub visited the studio.
“I happily explained to her (Yohan). We spoke about how this was the traditional Filipino way of a boy courting a girl, where families meet and get to know each other. She specially enjoyed the Harana, where the girls get wooed by the boys with songs,” Ryan posted.
“Now, we also spoke about why everyone was so happy about it, and I had to explain that, it’s because, this is how a proper Filipina girl should be treated, with respect and romance,” Ryan said.
