10961662_1096482190366964_1337959097_nWhile we enjoy the freedom of speech and while everyone is free to post opinion in today’s powerful social networking sites, no one is justified to say some things that are below the belt. What is justifiable is the expression of discontent, a cry to revolutionalize a system. Refraining from the use of foul, belittling, abusive words would reflect a character and an attitude of the one posting – that you are not silly at all since you do not equally reflect a personality of being foul, belittling and abusing.

Who are the personalities posting their opinions, airing their concerns and pretending to have seen the two sides of the coin? The next question is, how many followers do you have? Then, who among your followers can be influenced by your position and who cannot be? Have you influenced them positively or otherwise?

Undeniably, there are even worst posts than the posts of known personalities. However, we should always remember that you, as a known personality can influence people. In a certain extent, followers tend to idolize you. If this is the case, how have you been able to touch their heart?

It is insensitive to state that, “that’s my personal opinion,” because again, you can influence people.

While they say, “think before you click”, I would say, “post not to boast”, “express not impress”. Only the guilty ones get affected by an offensive remark that was thrown up in air (Bato-bato sa langit, ang tamaan ‘wag magalit.).
