Excited na ang isa sa pinaka-hottest love teams to date na sina Nadine Lustre at James Reid sa nalalapit nilang pelikula na hango sa best-selling book ni Marcelo Santos III na may pamagat na Para Sa Hopeless Romantic. This will be Nadine Lustre and James Reid’s third movie together after the success of Wattpad stories-turned-into-films na Diary ng Panget (where the loveteam JaDine was introduced) and Talk Back and You’re Dead.
Para sa Hopeless Romantic is a joint production of Viva Films and Star Cinema. It also stars Julia Barretto and Inigo Pascual. “We’re very excited to be working again on a new project together,” says James. “We’d want to give our fans what they deserve and we’re sure they’re going to love Para sa Hopeless Romantic.”
So what’s the film all about? Nadine shares: “Para sa Hopeless Romantic is a film that the youth can easily relate to, and even those young-at-heart. Ang kuwento nito ay tungkol sa limang taong nakikipagsapalaran sa mundo ng pag-ibig– isang umaasang babalikan, isang naghahangad na mamahalin, isang natakot umibig muli, isang nagsusumikap na makalimot at isang nag-aasam ng maligayang pag-ibig.
Bagamat maraming fans ang kinikilig dahil sa chemistry ng kanilang loveteam at naghahangad na magkatuluyan ang dalawa, Nadine and James are consistent sa pagsasabing ‘friends lang daw sila’. Pero hindi rin naman nila itinatanggi na mayroong ‘attraction’ between them.
“We’re not closing doors naman to the possibility of having a relationship off camera since we’re always working together. I admit nandun yung kilig, but for now, that isn’t our priority,” reveals Nadine. “Whatever it is that we have now, we don’t want to label them—although it’s more of friendship lang talaga, we want to maintain it that way.”
Sa kaso naman ni James, sinabi nito na, “Nadine is very charming and fun to be with. We get along well and I enjoy her company. It’s not difficult to fall for someone like her. But I’m not just ready to get into another relationship.”
Napabalita nga na iniwanan umano ni James ang dating nobya nitong si Ericka Villongco (singer at YouTube sensation, of Krissy and Ericka fame) upang walang maging sagabal sa loveteam nito with Nadine. Nang matanong si James tungkol dito, “Ericka and I parted as friends. The relationship ended because it was a mutual decision between us. Nadine nor the loveteam had nothing to do with it.” he said.
While the fans are waiting for the month of May (dahil ito ang napiling playdate para sa pelikula nilang Para sa Hopeless Romantic), James and Nadine are busy promoting their respective albums together. Nadine has her self-titled album while James has his ‘Reid Alert album.’
“We have mga mall shows and we tour around, meron din kaming mga meet and greet and photo opp sessions for the fans. Recently, we’ve celebrated our first year as loveteam with a small show for our fans. Meron din kaming fan conference cum concert sa Music Museum on March 19 sponsored by Jollibee Cheezy Bacon Mushroom Yum (where James and Nadine are brand endorsers, including Nadine’s father),” Nadine said.
“Yung movie naming ‘Para sa Hopeless Romantic’ is our treat to the fans. Sinisiguro namin na magugustuhan yun ng mga tao. Nandito ang loveteam namin nang dahil sa kanila.”
“Para sa Hopeless Romantic is a film para sa mga taong iniwan at ipinagpalit, para sa mga taong naging panakip-butas, para sa mga nangangarap na mahalin, babalikan at naghahangad ng happy ending sa kanilang lovelife. Kaya dapat abangan nilang lahat yung movie. ”
