Sexy scene is not a big deal for Balatkayo’s star Polo Ravales
Polo Ravales considers his role in “Balatkayo” one of his most challenging to date.
He plays the role of Samson, an unfaithful husband to Aiko (Melendez) and an OFW whose son gets embroiled in a sex video scandal.
According to Polo, he does not mind being relegated to father roles.
He admitted that he had no qualms in doing the role although some say that he is too young to be a father to newcomer James Robert who essays the role of his 16 year old son.
“Ang alam ko in real life, ay 23 na si James at ako naman ay 34 na, so puwede naman sa palagay ko.
“Iyong mga scene ko kasi were shot in Dubai samantalang iyong kay James ay dito lang sa Pilipinas. Actually, wala kaming eksena together. Sa phone lang kami nagco-communicate so wala talagang chance na magkasama kami kundi sa split screen lang,” he explained.
He does not believe that he’s miscast in the film.
Polo is also ecstatic to work with Aiko, one of his most admired actresses.
“Never ko pa siyang nakasama kaya I consider it na bagong experience na magkasama kami sa isang pelikula,” he quipped.
Polo revealed that he has no love scenes with Aiko but a lot of daring and steamy ones with Nathalie Hart who plays his mistress and was launched in the erotic thriller “Siphayo” last year.
If newcomer James Robert did some frontal nudity in the movie, Polo had his share of sexy scenes.
“Hindi na naman siya big deal sa akin kasi iyong iba ko namang pelikula like iyong “Walang Kawala,” nagpa-sexy na rin ako.”
Polo was last seen in Kapamilya teleseryes like “La Luna Sangre” and “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” where he did supporting roles.
“I don’t mind doing kontrabida roles. Gusto ko kasing maging isang Paquito Diaz tulad noong mga role ko sa “Probinsyano” at “Doble Kara” kasi I find it more challenging to do character roles,” he pointed out.
