Solenn Heusaff talks about love and surfing in “Flotsam”

Solenn Heusaff is one of the main stars of this year’s indie love anthology “Flotsam” featuring one surf town, eight love Cheap Stone Island Down Jacket Men stories and ten original songs. Mens Stone Island Tracksuit Sale Philippine Showbiz Republic (PSR.ph) had the chance to chat with Solenn.
Tell us about your experience in doing “Flotsam.”
“There’s so much love, good vibes and laughter in the movie na naging totoo. It was fun and a learning experience for me. Three weeks kaming nag-bonding on the set. We slept together, spent the nights making “kuwento” in La Union. Nag-bonfire kami sa La Union and everything parang naging totoo,” shares Solenn.
What’s the movie all about?
“The movie tackles different kinds of love. It’s pretty watchable and relatable kasi somewhere in the movie you will find yourself or see people who have gone through love in different phases of their lives.”
What’s your role in the movie?
“I play the role of Kai, a work-obsessed achiever. May fiancé na siya. She’s kinda lost when she goes to La Union to rediscover herself. She had a fling with Tisoy, a bartender played by Rocco (Nacino). She’s on the crossroads whether to marry her fiancé or not.”
In real life, you are engaged to be married with your Argentinian boyfriend Nico Bolzico, did it ever happen to you that you are faced with the same situation na nagkaroon ka ng hesitation to get hitched or not?
“ No. It did not happen to me. But looking back at your life, it sometimes happens to people who are about to get married. I asked some of my friends and they knew of people who were about to make that big step or take that marital plunge, but at the last hour, they had to change their mind. Tapos, doon pa pumapasok iyong chill whether to commit or not to commit to the union.”
The movie is filmed in La Union. Why La Union, of the all the surf cities in the Philippines?
“Siargao kasi is more for professional surfers na. Sa La Union kasi, kahit hindi ka surfer, puwede kang mag-surf. Hindi masyadong mahirap Cheap Mens Stone Island Accessories matuto. It’s not that expensive, too. There’s always something for you to start with like beginner’s (course) just like in life, there’s always a room for you to learn somewhere kahit beginner ka.”
Did you enrol in a surfing school in preparation for your role here?
“Iyong basic lang. But you will not see in action. Kasi, mas focused iyong story sa mga characters noong mga tao at iyong journey nila, not so much for the surfing action itself.”
How different is your role here compared to the roles you have tackled in the past?
“Here, you get to see me sing. Enjoy ako kasi dahil I get to sing original compositions in the movie. So, it gives me a chance to show off my singing talent. Pati, iyong music in the movie has stories to tell.”
You have daring scenes with Rocco Nacino in the movie. How daring is daring?
“Steamy scenes, marami.”
How steamy is steamy?
“Siyempre, you would see me wearing bikinis. Then, may scene kami na hinalikan ako ni Rocco sa puwet.”
