TEAM announces outreach program, newly-elected officers
The Entertainment Arts & Media (TEAM), an organization of media practitioners mainly covering showbiz, recently elected its officers for the year 2024-2026.
The group’s new officers are: Nonie Nicasio, president; Anne Venancio, vice president; Maridol Ranoa-Bismark, secretary; Maryo Banlat Labad, assistant secretary; Obette Serrano, Treasurer; Noel Benesisto Orsal, assistant treasurer; Wendell Alvarez, auditor; Pilar Mateo and Danny Vibas, PROs.
The organization’s members are: Roland Lerum, Cesar Ian Batingal, Jhay Orencia, Boy Borja, Marialuz Candaba, Adjes Carreon, Nimfa Chua, Sany Chua, Audie See, and Atorni Ton.
The members of the group include broadsheet and tabloid journos, broadcasters, photojournalists, vloggers, talent developers, and website operators.
Meanwhile, the TEAM is gearing up to hold one of its outreach projects for 2024: a gift-giving and feeding visit to Child Haus, a halfway house for kids and teens who have been diagnosed for cancer and need sustained medical attention and treatment in hospitals and health centers in Metro Manila. Their families are from a number of provinces in various regions of the country.
Child Haus is located at 1448 F. Agoncillo St. Malate, Manila. TEAM will be there late morning on June 9 to entertain the kids and the teens while serving morning snacks and giving them gifts. Rising stars from the networks and the studios will treat them to vibrant performances.
Lunch will be served by Kusina Manileño, courtesy of Manila Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto.
It will be the second time that TEAM has chosen Child Haus as a beneficiary of its outreach program. Over the years, TEAM has been conducting outreach projects at least once a year. It has also visited homes for the aged and youth centers in Metro Manila.
