There’s love when I look at her–Elmo Magalona
Popularly known as the Elnella loveteam, Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona’s chemistry has been recognized by fans and critics since their team-up was launched 2016 via primetime series “Born For You” on ABS-CBN.
Since then, the two talented showbiz progenies have been enjoying the limelight as one of their generation’s hottest love teams.
Now, they will give us ‘kilig’ overload in their big screen debut, “My Fairy Tail Love Story,” a not-so-ordinary mermaid story.
In preparation for his role as Noah, Chantel’s (Janella) best friend, Elmo enrolled in a diving school.
“Nag-undergo rin ako ng diving lessons pero mas mahirap iyong kay Janella. Kasi iyong umaakting siya as a mermaid at lumalangoy, ang hirap pagsabayin noon,” he said.
“I think, mine is half doon sa lessons ni Janella,” he added.
After their video showing Elmo cozying up to Janella circulated recently online, many are speculating that the two are already a couple.
To this, Elmo clarified the real score between him and his rumoured girlfriend, Janella.
“Actually, hindi pa kami. Hindi ko pa siya nililigawan,” he insisted.
However, he had no qualms in admitting that he’s fallen for Janella.
“I can’t deny naman that when I look at her, there’s love,” he said.
He also said that Janella is an epitome of his ‘dream’ girl.
“That’s my goal naman talaga, pero I’m not trying to rush things naman. I understand naman that Janella is only 19 years old and if there’s something or kung may mas importante to her right now, that’s totally fine with me. I understand that naman. That’s my goal naman that she becomes special to me, so hindi ko siya minamadali,” he elucidated.
He further added that he’s willing to wait until such time she’s ready to accept suitors.
“Si Janella, kasi, hindi pa iyon kasama sa mga priorities niya. I respect that naman. Hindi ko siya minamadali, and I’m just happy that she makes me happy,” he pointed out.
He also dismissed the rumors that he’s reluctant to court her because he’s afraid of Jenine Desiderio, Janella’s mother, who allegedly does not approve of him.
“No, it’s not because of that. Si Janella talaga, hindi pa siya ready to be in a relationship and I totally understand,” he explained.
“I don’t want to take advantage or to ruin it. We are good friends and for now, happy na ako roon,” he added.
Like any celebrity who has his share of bashings on social media, he’s now more tolerant on how to fend off haters and critics online.
Written for the screen by Jun Robles Lana, Denoy Navarro-Punio and JK de Leon and directed by Perci Intalan, “My Fairy Tail Love Story” is a perfect Valentine’s date movie from Regal Films and Idea First Company.
Swimming in cinemas on February 14, the cast also includes Kiko Estrada, Kiray Celis, Dimples Romana, Dominic Ochoa, Kakai Bautista, Kaladkaren Davila, Rubi Rubi and a many more.
