Tom Holland cast as the new Spider-Man

Move over, Andrew Garfield. Meet 19-year old British actor Tom Holland, who was chosen as the new Spider-Man in a marvel movie—“Captain America: Civil War,” which is already in Sneakers Solde production—before then headlining his own trilogy.
After seeing more than 1,500 actors who auditioned for that coveted role, Marvel and Sony’s lead casting director Sarah Finn narrowed down the list to six namely: Holland, Asa Butterfield, Judah Lewis, Matthew Lintz, Charlie Salomon Xt Hawk Plummer and Charlie Rowe—all between the ages of 14 and 19, in keeping with the producer’s goal of casting a Peter Parker who actually looks like he is in high school. Previous Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were both in their mid-to-late 20’s when they landed the role.
Robert Golden Goose Sneakers Femme Downey Jr., whose Iron Man character makes a special appearance in “Civil War” is said to share Canada Goose Mystique Parka scenes with Peter Parker/Spider-Man, participated with the actors in the screen tests, which included former-Sony-chief-turned-producer Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige. They were looking for chemistry between the boy and the elder Avenger. After the initial round of tests, producers narrowed the contenders to just two, Holland and Rowe. Unable to decide between them, they asked for a second screen test and the two actors tested separately with Downey and Chris Evans, who portrays Captain America.

Holland previously starred in “The Impossible,” “Wolf Hall,” and the upcoming “In The Heart Of The Sea.” Former Spider-Man Andrew Garfield moves on from the role, and the new movie will see a “new creative direction” for Peter Parker and will not necessarily be a film reboot.
