Vice-Coco movie earns almost P600-M
Phenomenal Star Vice Ganda and Primetime King Coco Martin proved again their charm, setting record with their movie “The Super Parental Guardians” as the country’s highest grossing film of all time with almost 600 million tickets sold.
For Star Cinema, TSPG was a blessing to them not just in terms of ticket selling but the way it told the Filipino laughs, Filipino simple stories, that brought exaggerated, overkilled joy to the Filipino viewers itself.
TSPG was not included in the Metro Manila Film Festival that challenged its lead stars Vice and Coco because according to them, the film intended for the MMFF.
But there’s always reason to celebrate and move on. The film showed earlier in all cinemas nationwide. It was new for Vice Ganda and for Star Cinema but they managed it, turning it into great result.
As for the success, the Star Cinema organized a thanksgiving party held at ABS-CBN, Tuesday, that only showed that Vice and Coco are truly a star, a box-office king, and for very simple reason, that is the joy, laugh, that people love about Vice Ganda’s film.
At the thanksgiving party, Vice Ganda thanked all the Kapamilya who have exerted their efforts in watching the film and who have showed love.
Present in the thanksgiving party were stars Kiray Celis, Neggy, Lassy, Assunta de Rossi, and Matet de Leon.
Also, the big bosses of ABS-CBN namely Carlo Catigbak, Malou Santos, and Olivia Lamasan were present.
The film is still showing in selected cinemas nationwide.
The Super Parental Guardians is directed by one and only Bb. Joyce Bernal. This is the first time that Vice and Direk Bernal joined together in one film. Also starring in the film are Coco Martin, Onyok Pineda and Awra.
In addition, the film set also the record for being the biggest earner in the first day.
