Vice Ganda claps back at ‘Partners in Crime’ teaser haters
Last October 10, Star Cinema officially released teaser #1 for Vice Ganda’s comeback movie titled “Partners in Crime” with Ivana Alawi. Some netizens called out Vice and Star Cinema for Ivana’s stereotypical role.
The Unkabogable Phenomenal Superstar directly took to Twitter to respond to some of the nastiest comments.
One netizen said, “‘Pag ‘eto nagkamake-over tapos naging straight ‘yung buhok… Lord, nag-i-start pa lang ako makakita ng maraming tao na ina-accept ‘yung curly hair nila. Step backwards na naman po ata ang magaganap.”
Vice answered, “Anong mali? ‘Pag ginusto at pinili ng isang taong kulot ang buhok na ipaunat ang buhok niya? Walang mali sa kulot. At wala ring mali kung gusto nyang ipaunat ito. Ang mali ay baluktot ang pananaw mo at nagpapanggap kang tuwid! Ang mali ay ‘yung ang nega nega nega mo!!!!!”
Other Twitter users expressed their disappointment. “Bakit nakapasa sa Star Cinema ang ganyang karakter?”
The Kapamilya star clapped back, “Have you watched the film yet? Girl, four (4) sequences pa lang nasho-shoot namin. (So), don’t stress yourself.”
Netizens hope “Partners in Crime” will not make fun of Ivana’s character as curly-haired morena. Vice briefly assured, “Makakaasa kang walang ganun.”
VICE INVITES MOVIEGOERS
Storycon for “Partners in Crime” happened last September at Dean and Deluca in Quezon City. Vice thanked director Cathy Garcia-Molina for collaborating with him.
“Masaya na isa ako sa mga instrumento para maging excited ulit ‘yung mga pamilya.
“Makakaasa kayo na worth it ‘yung paglabas n’yo ng bahay, pagpunta sa mall, at pagbili ng ticket.
“‘Yung pelikulang ginagawa ko lagi, sinisigurado lagi namin na mae-enjoy ng buong pamilya. Itong pelikula namin, makakaasa kayo na lalong pasasayahin ang pasko n’yo.”
