Vice Ganda honored at Bahaghari Awards
Vice Ganda was named this year’s Bahaghari Champion by the Philippine Financial & Inter-Industry Pride (PFIP) and recognized as a role model for the LGBTQIA+ community at the Bahaghari Awards.
Vice was picked for her unwavering support of LGBTQIA+ rights and her push for equality.
In a social media statement, Vice committed to continue advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights and serving as an inspiration to the community.
“Patuloy na mamumuksa ang gandang twoah ng kadiliman, at mananatiling bahaghari para sa lahat ng madlang people, lalo na sa LGBTQIA+ Community,” she wrote.
“Vice Ganda is one of the most important advocates and champions in the continuing fight for representation and visibility,” stated the award-giving committee, which was made up of dedicated representatives from LGBTQ+ employee resource groups and diversity teams within private corporations in the Philippines.
