Video of Filipino divers in SEA GAMES goes viral

The video of two Filipino divers in the South East Asian Games (SEA games) goes viral after their hilarious performance at the diving platform. Divers John Elmerson Fabriga and John David Pahoyo surprised everyone due to their horrible but hilarious fall into the pool during the SEA GAMES 2015. The video was posted on SGAG with more than 14,500 shares and close to 7,500 comments.
We all know that this is not something to laugh about but watching the video will make you think, ‘What on earth are these guys doing?” But then it must have been such a stressful situation for both divers that they both ended up with hilarious dives. Even if things went wrong, these Filipinos were able to manage a smile. They think positive about it, they were winners because they didn’t quit, at least they had the courage to participate. With more practice and exposure, one day these divers will grow and learn through experience and hopefully someday they will become champion and will simply look upon these boo-boos as one learning experience.
Fabriga and Pahoyo instantly became the talk of the whole SEA GAMES delegation. Well, at least we have to be thankful that despite the very hectic and stressful competition we all had a good laugh because of the two. This is the sad truth: In the field, athletes play their best, giving out their all, not so much for their victory but more for their love of the sport. It feels good to win, but if you lose (just as Fabriga and Pahoyo, both getting zero scores), you get all the blame. We at Philippine Showbiz Republic (PSR) hope people would change their attitude towards losing athletes, ‘kawawa’ eh. It’s a little bit sad that while our athletes battle it out for the country’s pride with great sportsmanship, spectators undermine every single effort and spitting on our athletes faces.
