Napatunayan na ni Lovi Poe ang pagiging magaling na aktres dahil tatlong beses na siyang itinanghal bilang best actress at tatlong beses din siyang nagwagi bilang best supporting actress sa iba’t-ibang award-giving bodies.
Katunayan, ito ang dahilan kaya siya tinaguriang “Kapuso Primera Aktresa.”
Pagkatapos ng matagumpay niyang pelikulang “The Annulment,” nagbabalik siya sa isang nag-aalab na romantic dramang “Hindi Tayo Pwede” kung saan kaabang-abang ang kanyang mga love scenes sa nasabing obra ni Joel Lamangan.
Dahil nalilinya sa mga pelikulang may mga maseselang love scenes, hindi naman siya nagwo-worry na baka masapawan ang kanyang acting ng kanyang pagpapaseksi sa kanyang mga proyekto.
“I think, hindi naman siya nakaka-bother. But it’s more of like, it’s something that people will talk about pero I think it’s nice to surprise people as well, kasi kapag napanood nila di nila ini-expect na more than the beautiful love scene, you know,doon nila mare-realize na this was written by Sir Ricky Lee and directed by Joel Lamangan or that the movie is so beautiful. So, it’s nice to surprise people,” aniya.
“It’s something that’s expected nila when you’re with these people na iisipin mo naman talaga which is not a bad thing. It’s actually a compliment for them. At least, that’s how I see it. It’s just nice na magugulat sila,” dugtong niya.
Happy naman siya na after Significant Other at Lihis ay muli siyang naidirek ng multi-awarded director na si Joel Lamangan.
Masaya rin siya na after Joem Bascon at Jake Cuenca na nakasama niya sa Lihis, ang hottest young actors of their generation na sina Tony Labrusca at Marco Gumabao ang kanyang makakatrabaho sa bago niyang pelikula.
“Well, first of all, I’m just really grateful just to be given the opportunity to work with these actors. You know, to make a good film, you have be surrounded by the best team. I have Direk Joel, I have Sir Ricky. And then now, just to share the movie with these guys is so good that I can’t even explain how excited I am with this film. I keep saying actually na, this movie, I’m very proud of and the fact that I worked with Marco and Tony is truly a blessing because I feel like I was given like the best cast and (was given) the opportunity to work with them,” paliwanag niya.
Tungkol naman sa kanilang love scenes, sobrang gentlemen daw at maalaga nina Tony at Marco.
“Si Marco, he’s very maaalalay and nakaka-stress, dahil doon sa element of surprise. Si Tony naman, very critical iyong love scenes namin. It’s also nice that I was able to share that level of emotion with him,” lahad niya.
Wala rin daw siyang itulak kabigin kung sino sa dalawa ang great kisser.
“I can’t rate them. Of course, when doing scenes like this, you have to make sure na iyong kasama mo is doing it because… you just know when someone is taking advantage of the situation, so because you know that they are not, makes it a ten. When you’re doing scenes like these, you’re trying to make it as natural as possible especially when you’re doing it out of love,” sey ni Lovi.
Sa pelikulang Hindi Tayo Pwede, binibigyang buhay ni Lovi ang papel ni Gab na hirap makapag-move on sa pagkamatay ng kanyang nobyong si Gabby (Tony) sa isang aksidente.
Magiging karamay niya ang kanyang best friend na si Dennis (Marco) pero ang alaala at presensya ng kanyang nasawing boyfriend ang tila balakid sa kanilang pag-iibigan.
Tampok ang kantang “Hindi Tayo Pwede” ng The Juans bilang official theme song ng pelikula.
