Willie Revillame, pinaaaresto
Kinatigan ng Court of Appeals (CA) ang naunang desisyon ng Quezon City Regional Trial Court (QC-RTC) na may basehan ang reklamong child abuse na inihain sa TV host na si Willie Revillame.
Sa resolusyon ng korte, ibinasura nito ang motion for reconsideration na inihain ng mga abugado ng TV host upang hindi siya arestuhin at mapawalang-bisa ang kasong child abuse na isinampa ng mga social worker laban sa kanya.
Ang kasong child abuse laban kay Willie ay nag-ugat sa pagsasayaw ng ‘macho dancing’ ng isang 6-anyos na batang lalaki na ikinalugod pa noon ng TV host sa kanyang programang ‘Willing Willie’ sa TV 5 kung saan pinaulit pa niya ito at binigyan ng papremyong sampung libong piso na hindi nagustuhan ng mga manonood dahil hindi akma sa edad ng bata ang kanyang ginawa.
Nauna nang nag-isyu ng warrant of arrest anag Quezon City Regional Trial Court kaugnay ng kaso ni Willie noong 2013 pero nakapagpiyansa ito.
Sa ponente ng Court of Appeals Justice na si Ma. Luisa Quijano-Padilla, sinabi nito na may malinaw na batayan sa kaso at walang merito ang mga bagong argumento ng kampo ni Willie.
“We have carefully reviewed our decision vis-a-vis the motion for reconsideration and we have found that the issues raised in the present motion and the arguments advanced in support thereof are a mere rehash of those already considered and passed upon, and no new issue or substantial argument has been presented to justify the reversal or modification of the assailed decision,.”aniya.
Ipinagtanggol din ng CA ang desisyon ng QC-RTC, at wala raw itong nagawang pag-abuso sa kapangyarihan sa pagpapatibay nila sa kasong child abuse sa TV host.
Dagdag pa sa desisyon ng CA, “As there is probable cause for the petitioner’s commission of a crime, his arrest and arraignment should now ensue so that this case may properly proceed to trial, where the merits of both parties’ evidence and allegations may be weighed.”
Richard Quan, sasabak na sa pagdidirek
Malayo ang narating ng magaling na aktor na si Richard Quan simula nang makilala siya noon sa pelikulang “Saan Ka Man Naroroon” kung saan naging third wheel siya sa tambalang Richard Gomez at Dawn Zulueta.
Marami na ring roles ang kanyang nagampanan na nagpatingkad sa kanyang bituin bilang actor.
Katunayan, gusto rin niyang sumabak na sa pagdidirek ng pelikula.
“I’m just waiting for a material na ididirek, hopefully soon, a film that will show ‘yung struggles nating mga Pinoy and how we deal with it, something inspiring and will touch our hearts”, aniya.
Nakapagprodyus na rin siya ng tatlong pelikula na pawang mga indie.
“I’ll do it again pero sa ngayon, stop muna. Kapag kasi nagprodyus ka, dapat focused ka sa lahat ng aspeto at kailangan ang 100% mo na sa ngayon ay hindi ko magawa dahil may mga projects ak
o sa movies at sa TV’, paliwanag niya.
Passion ni Richard ang pag-arte at ikinararangal niya ito.
“At first, acting for me is an opportunity lang to do something new and interesting, then it became a source of income. Along the way it opened up so many opportunities and I begun to love it, next thing you know sobrang passionate ka na and you appreciate it so much… then you realize you can use your status as an actor to influence other people in a positive way, a simple pa-picture will make them happy for a day or even weeks… you grab that opportunity, and try to influence people by setting a good example, helping them and hopefully contribute somehow in “making the world a better place” even in my own little way…. and I’m in that stage right now… I still have so much to offer sa industry and even more outside of the industry like sa mga outreach projects. At the end of the day, it’ s not actually all about me , it’s about how I can influence or help other human beings”, pagwawakas niya.
