“Gusto ko sanang masaksihan ang graduation ng anak kong si Loudette,” ani Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., Malungkot ang senador sapagkat hiniling niya sa korte na makadalo sana siya sa graduation ng kanyang anak. Subalit hindi ito pinagbigyan ng Sandigan First Division.
Base sa dalawang pahinang mosyon, iginiit ng korte na mabigat ang kinakaharap na kaso ni Revilla at mayroon itong mabigat na ebidensya.
“At the outset, it should be stressed that accused Revilla and the other accused are charged with the capital offense of plunder, and that because the Court had found that the evidence of their guilt is strong, their petitions for bail were denied and that, consequently, they continued to be held in detention,” saad ng korte. “Being detention prisoners, just like all other detention prisoners, the accused cannot be allowed the full enjoyment of their rights, be it civil of political.”
Matatandaang nahaharap ang senador sa kasong plunder kaugnay ng pagtanggap umano nito ng kickback mula sa mga non-government organization na gawa-gawa lang ni Janet Lim Napoles.
Bukas, Marso 28, gaganapin ang graduation ng anak ni Revilla na si Franzel Loudette Bautista. Si Loudette ay magtatapos ng high school sa De La Salle Zobel School at ito’y tatanggap ng mga award.
Ipinaalala ng korte kay Revilla na makailang ulit na siyang napagbigyan na makalabas ng kulungan upang makita ang kanyang isa pang anak na si Cavite Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla nang ito ay magtamo ng bala sa dibdib.
“The Court is not included at this time to treat as exceptional circumstances the commencement exercises of his daughter in Muntinlupa City. To the mind of the Court, allowing accused Revilla to attend the graduation of his daughter will not only set a bad precedent, but will likewise but regarded as a mockery of the administration of justice.”
