Ynna Asistio checks off her bucket list
Celebrating her 14th anniversary as an actress, Ynna Asistio wanted one thing: To lead in a drama series.
She knocked that dream off her bucket list with the help of Eagle Broadcasting Corporation and Net25. The TV network answered her prayer, gave her “Ang Daigdig Ko’y Ikaw.”
“Noong una, hindi talaga ako makapaniwala. Unti-unti ko nang nare-realize na lead star na ako habang naka-lock in na kami.
“It was really my dream. Pinagdarasal ko s’ya. Ganoon din ang mom ko. She visited me sa taping namin. Of course we did it very safe,” she said.
Ynna plays Reina in “Ang Daigdig Ko’y Ikaw” who’s only daughter to a wealthy family who owns the only hotel in town. At 18, she fell in love for the first time with their hotel’s bellboy (Geoff Eigenmann).
“I am so thankful sa Net25 for giving me this series. Magaan silang katrabaho lahat. Marami rin akong natutunan from them and from their religion [Iglesia Ni Cristo].”
The daughter of Nadia Montenegro teamed up with Geoff Eigenmann under the direction of award-winning filmmaker Eduardo Roy, Jr.
Direk Eduardo praised the two stars and their natural chemistry. “Si Ynna habang tumatagal, nag e-evolve. Of course Geoff comes from very talented family.”
The fresh of breath air tandem is supported by a mix of fresh and veteran supporting cast in the industry that includes: Tanya Gomez, Richard Quan, Shiela Marie Rodriguez, Arielle Roces, AJ Muhlach, Anna Mabasa-Muhlach, Manolo Silayan, Jiro Custodio, Paulyn Ann Poon, Myrna Villanueva Tinio and Jellex David.
Mirroring what is happening in the society under the new normal, “Ang Daigdig Ko’y Ikaw” airs every Saturday on Net25, 8pm.
